(4) Market demand for digital printing • The state is strengthening the management of the publishing industry and strengthening the review procedures for new books. The digital printing system can solve the printing problem of reviewing sample books and achieve efficient and high-quality requests for review.

· Print small-batch academic works, collections of works of art, and collections of documents.
· Teaching materials for primary and secondary schools and training schools are printed.
· Reports, seminars, exhibitions, printed promotional materials, speech material compilation.
· Printed briefs and corporate culture brochures for enterprises and institutions.
· Printed bids for bidding activities such as government procurement.
· Printing of bills, trademarks, and direct mail advertisements.
· Corporate and family anniversaries.
(5) Prospects for the application of digital printing in China Many domestic printing companies have begun to introduce various types of digital printing systems, most of which are used for short-run live printing. China Institute of Printing Science and Technology is working with Fuji Xerox. Beijing Hanyi Company cooperated to establish a digital printing research and development center for short-term books and publications, integrated printing software and hardware systems, and integrated digital printing process flow to provide China's publishing houses and printing companies with experimental models of digital printing centers.
3. The cross-media publishing system has been developed and applied for cross-media publishing. Figure 16 is a brief cross-media publishing system for publishers, newspapers, and magazines.
Third, digital and network technology impact on the printing industry
1. The development of digital and network technologies The rapid development of digital and network technologies has changed the pattern of printing to a certain extent. Figure 17 shows the growth trend of European online advertising. As can be seen from Figure 17, the rapid development of online advertising will inevitably cause great impact on traditional print media.
As can be seen from Figure 18, the global Internet users continue to grow.
The ratio of electronic media to print media is also changing. According to analysis and prediction by RIT Rochester Institute of Technology in the United States, by 2020, 35% of printed materials will be printed, and electronic media will account for 65% (Figure 19). Although the market share of print products has gradually decreased, the number is still on the rise.
