Tests show that HDPE can be recovered at least 10 times

According to an actual test conducted by Dutch container manufacturer ESE World, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) can be recovered at least 10 times under "controlled conditions."

The company said in a statement issued on January 24 that for the past 30 years, they have been using recycled plastics to make containers.

ESE World said that there is still a problem that has not yet been solved. How long can HDPE process, grind, and reprocess the injection molding process without changing the structure and characteristics of the material?

Therefore, ESE has established a controlled experimental model in its production facility that allows HDPE pure material to be reused 10 times.

The company stated: "After each step, we are working with external research institutions to analyze these materials."

This project was led by ESE's plastics expert and scientist Dr. Jeanett Köhn.

"This test proves for the first time that during the entire recycling process, the injection molding and shredding process did not have any effect on the properties of the material."
