In order to perform multi-color registration and obtain color proofing effects, the following operations must be coordinated:

1 printing materials must be wrapped on the drum under a certain tension;

3 Move the roller, close to the surface of the plate cylinder, turn it to its locked position, and secure it with a pin;

4 Turn the plate cylinder and align the lateral gauge line of the Huai town with the horizontal line of the surface of the cylinder.

5 Large drum relies on the plate cylinder and reaches a certain pressure;

6 Check the registration status and repeat until the gauge is fully aligned;

7 Adjust the squeegee to the appropriate degree of parallelism with the roller surface, and then adjust the vertical direction so that the squeegee is good;

8 The ink is applied to the squeegee along the surface of the roller, and then the locking pin is set aside;

9 Drive the big drum to drive the driven plate cylinder to rotate. Through the squeegee, the “printing” is formed at the contact between the big drum and the plate cylinder.

The ink is transferred from the ink hole through the pores to the surface of the printing material (in some cases, the proofer also uses an electrostatically assisted ink transfer device). The drum rolls to the end of its circumference to get the largest sheet. After the rotation is completed, the large drum leaves the surface of the plate cylinder, and the plate cylinder can be cleaned and disassembled. The color proofing after the second color is repeated after the previous color is dried and the same process as described above is repeated.

Flexible packaging materials will cause the printing material to expand and contract during printing. When the printing company is making a version of the drum, there is a requirement for increments between the colored building drums, which will bring certain difficulties in proofing. Experienced operators can go through the drop of the dot. Make proofs with high registration accuracy.

The Japanese machine's ink transfer is to transfer the ink to the substrate by pressing the impression roller through the gravure plate cylinder. The machine speed is generally about 30m/min, but the impression cylinder is separated from the gravure cylinder from the start to the end. The speed is not the same, because the substrate is tightly wrapped in the surface of the drum, under the inertia of the drum, resulting in faster speed, the second lap speed will be faster than the first lap.
