Fresh water-free packaging in Portugal

Recently, a water-free packaging material (Windtofresh) was successfully developed in Portugal. This packaging material consists of two parts (pictured): First, wrapping paper, can be artificially made into a "reservoir" at the bottom of the packaging paper; second, fresh gel, gel in the "reservoir", will cut The stems are inserted inside and then packaged. This keeps the bouquet fresh without having to insert it in the water.

The advent of water-free and fresh-keeping packaging materials created a new milestone for flower packaging. One of the main advantages is that it can save transportation costs by adopting this kind of packaging, because the preservation of the gel is strong and the transportation time can be relatively longer. Apart from air transportation, it can also be used for shipping. The latter can save about 50% of the transportation cost, and the heavier it is. The transportation cost of the flowers (such as stout stalks) is also higher; the second benefit is to reduce the waste, the cut flowers can be kept fresh during the transportation process, and the loss is less; the third benefit is to save storage space, which is for storage. It is especially suitable for small wholesalers and retailers, because after using the package, the flowers do not stand upright in the bucket, they can be stacked together and placed horizontally, which greatly saves the space for storage; the fourth advantage is that the bacteria can be reduced. Breeding, because the use of gel preservation, do not need to spray water on the leaves, cut flowers can be transported and stored in a relatively dry environment, which is not conducive to the growth of bacteria; the fifth benefit is to save labor, flower buckets and water are replaced by gel Afterwards, retailers often reduce the time needed to change the water, and the product can be directly on the shelf after it arrives at the shipping destination, saving the middle The entire link.

The water-free fresh-keeping packaging material was co-developed by Wentus packaging supplier and Flower Transportation Gel (FTG). At present, the packaging material is undergoing inspections by Portuguese wholesalers and trial sale in some supermarkets in Portugal.

At the same time, the packaging material has been nominated for the Gouden Noot (GoudenNoot), which is a very important packaging creativity award in the Netherlands.
