The deployment of gold and silver ink

When using solvent inks, the silver ink has better stability than the gold ink, and the printability is better than gold ink. In the use of water-based ink, due to the active nature of aluminum powder, the surface is easy to generate oxide film, and the role of water will release hydrogen, affecting the stability of the color paste, so in practicality is less popular than gold powder printing.

In order to ensure the purity of the ink, the last printing of gold and silver ink is to use a moist mesh such as 783 to clean the layout and wait for the solvent to completely evaporate. Because gold and silver ink encounter certain uncertainties, they will react and cause ink discoloration.

Due to the poor fluidity of gold and silver inks, inks or slow drying agents are often added during printing to increase the leveling properties of the ink. Dry oil is added at the same time as additives are added. Golden ink can be added about 1% of the red dry oil; silver ink is generally added white dry oil and red dry oil, add about 1.5%; or in the silver ink mixed dry oil, add 1% ~ 1 .5%. The actual addition of methyl silicone oil is more effective and can also eliminate foaming.

Benzoxazole, this agent is not added directly to the emulsified paste. However, a small amount of yellow ink may be added to the solvent-based ink to prevent the formation of an oxide film and darkening. Mitol is commonly used in printing.
