Japanese Morinaga uses TAM re-seal packaging technology

Japanese confectionery maker Morinaga recently purchased a new TWEX vertical F/F/S packaging system from Tokyo Automatic Machinery Works (TAM). The system can provide re-sealing packages for the company's two product lines, namely chocolate cereal crisps and milk cocoa products.

In particular, TAM has introduced “Zi He Xi” zipper technology for this project from the Japanese company Zip-Pak in Tokyo. This zipper is designed for the TWEX series.

Through the newly installed equipment, Morinaga successfully brought a new image to its products. While maintaining the quality of packaging, the packaging is more convenient to use and effectively reduces material costs. With the new packaging, sales of chocolate cereal chip brands have increased. As for milk cocoa products, it is estimated that the cost of packaging materials can be reduced by 20%.

The TWEX upright F/F/S packaging system produces zippered bags with a production efficiency of 45 per minute.
