It is understood that "High-grade plate-making printing technology development and research" is a technical development research project issued by the Yunnan Science and Technology Department to the Yunnan Institute of Printing Technology and the Yunnan Xinhua Printing Industry Corporation.

The new technology adopts a scientific research method and formulates the implementation process route. Through more than 1,000 experiments and conclusions, it has obtained electronic color separation, color correction, computer-to-plate (CTP), and computer direct proofing (also called digital proofing). ) and offset printing process technology and quality control data. The sample “High-Quality Plate Printing Technology Development Research Sample” produced using this new technology data uses 127 different types of transmission originals, reflection originals, and electronic manuscripts, including landscapes, figures, still life photography, and painting manuscripts. Quantity and representativeness prove that the project technical data is practical and reliable.

The sample of this project has five characteristics compared to the current domestic four-color offset printing: 1 fine (high number of screen lines); 2 rich layers (long tone); 3 rich colors (wide color gamut); 4 good image texture; Minimizes moiré and rose spots. The main technical indicators achieved by this new technology are: the number of screen lines, tone reproduction range, and print contrast K are in line with the current national standard GB/T17932.2-1999 (equivalent to the international standard ISO 12647-2:1996). Exceeds the index value. The technology of this project is innovative, especially with screen lines of 300 network cables per inch. It can use conventional printing paper and ink to make high-quality four-color offset prints, which has exceeded the current domestic maximum 225 lines/inch screen number.

The research data of new high-grade plate making printing technology is applicable to printing books and periodicals, and also applicable to packaging and advertising printing. This will improve the quality of printing products in Yunnan, shorten the gap between the printing industry in developed areas along the coast and inland, and increase the market competitiveness of printing enterprises in the province.
