The result is judged :

F - Maximum force at failure of the specimen , N

L — sample length , mm

7.03. Calculate the edge pressure strength formula: R=F × 103 ÷ L

Where : R - side pressure strength unit N / m ;

        F - the specimen withstands the maximum pressure N ;

        L —Long dimension mm of specimen .

The unit of side pressure strength is N/m , and the length of the long side of the sample is 100mm , which requires data processing. First put 100mm

Converted to 0.1m , calculated according to the above formula. Assume that the arithmetic average pressure of the sample under test is 680N .

Data processing is: 680N/0.1m=6800N/m

Then, according to the above formula, the edge pressure intensity value of the sample is: 6.80 X 103N/m
