1 Traditional plate making process (using negative film)
1. The back side of the printing plate is exposed (back exposure) with a light source in the ultraviolet A zone to form the substrate of the printing plate and improve the photosensitive sensitivity of the printing plate. The length of the back exposure depends on the depth of the plate graphic.
2. Remove the protective film on the front side of the plate, place a negative film, cover the vacuum film, and vacuum. After vacuum extraction, exposure (main exposure) is performed again. The purpose of the main exposure is to transfer the graphic on the film to the plate. The length of the main exposure depends on the situation of the view and the thickness of the printing plate. Negative film should be a sanded surface.
3. The exposed plate is sent to a plate washer to wash away the resin of the exposed part of the plate to form a concave-convex print surface (wash plate).
4. The washed plates are dried (dried).
5. The plate is irradiated with a light source in the ultraviolet C zone to remove the tackiness (de-sticking) of the plate surface.
6. Finally, the plate is irradiated with an ultraviolet A zone light source to reach the final hardness of the plate (post-exposure).
2 digital platemaking process (without using film)
1. The back side of the printing plate is exposed (back exposure) with a light source in the ultraviolet A zone to form the substrate of the printing plate and improve the photosensitive sensitivity of the printing plate. The length of the back exposure depends on the depth of the plate graphic.
2. Remove the protective film on the front of the printing plate, and place the plate on the vacuum roller of the Cyrel digital imaging device, prepress the data in the image processing system, control the laser head of the digital imaging device, and burn off the Cyrel digital flexo Black film, the desired part of the image is exposed, and then the main exposure, without the use of negative film, no vacuum.
3. The exposed plate is sent to a plate washer so that the unexposed portion of the resin on the plate is washed off to form a concave-convex print surface (wash plate).
4. The washed plates are dried (dried).
5. The plate is irradiated with a light source in the ultraviolet C zone to remove the tackiness (de-sticking) of the plate surface.
6. Finally, the plate is irradiated with an ultraviolet A zone light source to reach the final hardness of the plate (post-exposure).
