Compared with ordinary paper, synthetic paper is prone to static electricity, and most of the problems encountered by printing companies in folding synthetic paper are caused by static electricity. Static electricity not only increases friction but also reduces product humidity.

3. Folding is easy to produce creases

Compared with ordinary paper, synthetic paper has no texture structure, and because of its plastic characteristics, it is easy to produce rebound, so it is easy to cause creases due to uneven lines when folding.

1. Printing equipment and equipment

The paper used in the experiment is Taiwan South Asia PP synthetic paper (imitation high-grade coated paper), the ink is DIC standard four-color offset printing ink, and other consumables are Vigra ink quick-drying agent and varnish. 2. Experimental methods

This experiment uses three printing methods, as follows.

(1) Synthetic paper color of seven colors (R, G, B), double overprint (C, M, Y) and solid color (K) exhibited in the laboratory by IGT printing suitability tester article. No water was involved during the test. After drying, the drying time of the color strips was recorded, and the L*a*b* values ​​of the seven colors were measured. The printing pressure of this experiment was set to 625 N, and the printing speed was 0.5 m/s. (3) The printing machine normally prints and connects the light at a speed of 9000 sheets/hour. In order to speed up the drying of the ink, 3% of the quick-drying agent is added to the ink to record the time required for complete drying.

From the results of this experiment, the new synthetic paper has been fully adapted to offset ink printing, but it needs to do the corresponding quick-drying treatment. The commonly used processing methods are as follows.

Adding a quick-drying agent to the ink can increase the drying speed of the ink, but the composition and properties of the fast-drying agent are different, and the influence on the drying performance of the ink is different. At the same time, the amount of quick-drying agent also has a certain influence on the drying speed of the ink. Adding an appropriate amount of quick-drying agent can play a role of drying, but if the quick-drying agent is added in excess, the ink will be crystallized.

(2) Connecting light

By connecting the light, the ink drying can be accelerated indirectly, because the varnish is water-based, it will dry quickly through the hot air blowing system, and can cover the ink surface to prevent the ink from being dirty; not only improve the drying speed of the ink on the surface of the synthetic paper. It also improves the gloss of the ink film.

(3) Control the amount of printing water and reduce the degree of ink emulsification

The surface of the synthetic paper is highly resistant to water. If the amount of water on the surface of the printing plate is too large, the ink is easily emulsified, which is not conducive to drying.
