In the future, to further promote the green environmental protection campaign, the Himachal Pradesh government decided to ban the use of plastic bottled wine. From June onwards, plastic bottles will be gradually replaced by glass bottles. Indian foreign wine merchants and domestic wine merchants can only sell in the form of glass bottles in the markets of Himachal Pradesh since June.
"Alcohol manufacturers have been told to arrange replacement of plastic bottles after June this year," Customs and Tax Commissioner JCSharma told PTI.
Wine makers are allowed to change plastic bottled wine into glass bottles before May.
The electronic science and technology commissioner stated that domestic liquor can enjoy a certain discount after June, but foreign wines will not enjoy any preferential policies.
