The new K25 machine from Botero Glass Technology is being installed at the Rotherham facility at Bitson Clark and is expected to be operational by the end of this month.
The K25 will replace the existing model, which has been used by the company since 1996 and follows a £12 million investment in a new glass production line completed earlier this year.
Although the old machines are still taking the opportunity to implement high standards, steps are being taken to install the latest model and enable us to have greater quality control than ever before, said: Production Manager Tim Swetman.
Electronic devices are used in the K25 to provide more control over the product formation process, as well as mold and blank cooling.
Pittson Clarke Pug Marketing Manager Dawn Says: We feel that this important investment will ensure the continuity of our customers with high quality, flexibility and design they expect from our comprehensive supply.
